Crystal Cave

Crystal Cave got its pathway cemented, but,
where have all the crystals gone?
Unfortunately, most of the crystal stones which made the cave glitter before
were believed to have been "mined" by the locals and were sold to visitors.
(Ayyayyayyayyay!!!)
Only those that are "hard-to-get", were left but they are too few to keep the cave's luster.

Igorot Staircase

The nit-picking allapos (old folks) at The Igorot Staircase of Barrio Fiesta in Baguio City.
The odd one out?
That's me! Hindi po ako Igorot, este estatwa, tao po ako.

It's becoming one of the favorite tambayan (hang-out) in the city.
Shopping, foods, entertainment and all the usual stuffs you are looking in a mall are here.
Plus, in the decks, you can have a view of a pine-full forest,
Burnham Park, the Baguio Cathedral, the University of the Cordilleras
and other parts of the downtown.

Baguio Botanical Garden 3

Japanese Garden. A garden within the garden.
It's beautiful! But they forgot to plant some Japanese bamboo
which is one significant component of Japanese (and even Chinese) landscaping.

Formerly Baguio Colleges Foundation (BCF),
the University of the Cordilleras (UC) pioneered tertiary education in the region.
It is one of the best academic institutions in Northern Luzon.

Horseback Riding in Baguio

Wanna try a ride? You can have one at Padcal Loop.

Mines View Park

Mines View Park is supposed to provide view of untouched trees and mountains.
But thanks to development. Roofs of different colors have cluttered the view. (Sigh!)
Fortunately, the area is still worth visiting specially in a not-so-sunny day
when fogs rise up from the river bed way down below
and make the mountains appear as if they are floating.

This is also referred to as the White House of the Philippines.

Baguio Cathedral 2

Facade of Baguio Cathedral.
Sorry. No pigeons around.

Baguio Cathedral 1

One of the most photographed landmark in Baguio City,
the Our Lady of the Atonement Cathedral, better known as Baguio Cathedral.

This was taken from a long shot (at SM). Gosh! How I wish I got a powerful camera...

Burnham Park 4

Burnham Lake. A man-made lagoon at the center of Burnham Park.
The benches around the lake provides a good resting place
while watching the activity on the water.

Burnham Park 3

Melvin Jones Grandstand doubles as activity center and stage of the Foolball Field.
Oh, it is also used as a giant waiting shade along Harrison Road.

Burnham Park 2

The Football Field, also called Melvin Jones Park,
is another favorite spot for historical, cultural and sports events.
is one of the most conspicuous area of Burnham Park.
(Of course it is! With such size, how can anyone miss this place. )

Burnham Park 1

The mother of all parks in the city of pines. Located in the heart of Baguio, Burnham Park serves as a landmark, an amusement park and place for major activities.

Another Unique Flower

They are not falling... they are hanging in there... hovering a pathway at the Baguio City Botanical Garden.
